France Ramp Up Protest Against Pension Bill
More protests and strikes continued to rock France Friday in response to President Emmanuel Macron's decision to force a bill that raises the retirement age from 62 to 64 through parliament without a vote. On Thursday night, fires burned on the streets of Paris as police fired tear gas to disperse protesters following the introduction of an unpopular pensions bill in the French National Assembly.
