Christians around the world are celebrating Good Friday, a holiday that commemorates the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of believers. The holiday is followed by Easter Sunday, marking the third day after Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke Father Rodrigue Ntungu, Jesuit Priest and Ph.D. Student at Georgetown University Law School in Washington DC, for more on the significance of the holiday, as well as its relation to Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan.
