Former United States President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty Thursday to a four-count criminal indictment in a Washington court after being accused of conspiring to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Professor of history at Washington-based American University Allan Lichtman told VOA's Carol Van Dam the world is watching as the former president is arraigned, calling it the most significant indictment in American history.
