UN Votes for Cease-Fire in Gaza
The United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly to demand a humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza, in a strong demonstration of global support for ending the Israel-Hamas war. The vote was largely seen as a growing isolation of the United States and Israel. For the latest developments at the United Nations, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA United Nations’ Correspondent Margaret Besheer in New York.
