Professor Addresses Challenges within the Pan-African Movement

African leaders often say Africa’s problems need African solutions. Currently, the continent is grappling with clashes between military factions in Sudan, conflict in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a migrant crisis in North Africa, and a resurgence of military coups in West Africa. However, experts say there are existing initiatives and instruments that may be beneficial for remediating these things. For a discussion on the continent’s approach to resolving the issues, VOA’s Vincent Makori spoke to Gnaka Lagoke, assistant professor of history and Pan-African studies at Lincoln University.
