Monument Dedicated to MLK in Boston
Family Members of Martin Luther King Jr. gathered at Boston Common, the oldest public park in the U.S., to dedicate a massive bronze sculpture to the civil rights icon in Boston, where King first met his wife, Coretta Scott. The $10 million monument is made out of four interlaced arms and was inspired by a photograph of King hugging his wife after learning he had won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
