Daniel Chapo is selected as the ruling party’s presidential candidate in the Mozambique election

Political analyst Deric Alfazema tells VOA’s Peter Clottey that the appointment of Daniel Chapo as the presidential candidate of Mozambique’s ruling party, Frelimo, may boost electoral prospects in the coming October election. Alfazema says the failure of the opposition parties to resolve their internal challenges could also give the ruling party a lift in the polls.
