Cameroon and the Separatist Struggle

For several years, separatists in Cameroon's English-speaking regions have fought the national government. Hundreds of civilians and fighters on both sides have died. John Mukum Mbaku, nonresident fellow at the Brooking Institution in Washington, tells me the issue dates back 140 years.
