Opposition calls for protests in Mozambique ahead of election results
Thousands of people gathered today outside Mozambique's capital for the burial of the slain lawyer of an opposition candidate. Police say they have launched an investigation into the killing. The ruling Frelimo party which has been in power for 49 years “vehemently” condemned the “macabre act”. Opposition candidate Venancio Mondlane has called for 25 days of protests over the killing of his attorney.
