Analyst: Sudan Conflict Threatens Regional Security
The special envoy to the United Nations in Sudan has reiterated his call for the Sudanese warring parties to stop fighting and engage in dialogue. Volker Perthes, who has temporarily relocated to Port Sudan due to intensified clashes in Khartoum, says efforts are underway to engage representatives of Sudan's military and the Rapid Support Forces to meet.
