Statistics show over 2.4 million African immigrants are living in the U.S. as part of the growing African diaspora. This diverse community is becoming an increasingly critical constituency in American elections, asserting both their economic and political power. In part 2 of his conversation with Chukwunonso “Vincent” Iweanoge, chair of Maryland Governor's Commission on African Affairs as well as chair for the African Diaspora Advisory Board for Prince George’s County, VOA’s Yeheyes Wuhib asks ways by which Africans in the diaspora can strengthen and improve relations with the African American community in the US.
