Malawi epilepsy survivor battles stigma and misconceptions
The World Health Organization (WHO) says an estimated 50 million people worldwide suffer from epilepsy, a chronic neurological brain condition that is often accompanied by loss of consciousness and uncontrolled bowel or bladder function. For insight into the condition, Chimwemwe Padatha filed this report chronicling the life of Harry Singano, a 55-year-old Malawian who has spent over 33 years living with epilepsy.
