Guinea in mourning after dozens die in soccer stampede
The military junta in Guinea Conakry has declared three days of national mourning for victims of a soccer stadium stampede. Provisional reports say at least 56 people have been killed. Reporter Karim Kamara in Conakry tells VOA’s James Butty, the incident took place Sunday during a soccer tournament in the city of Nzerekore, organized in support of junta leader Colonel Mamady Doumbouya.
