The Vice President for Political Affairs and the Diaspora of Chad’s opposition Transformers party says the Chadian government should postpone the country’s December 29 parliamentary and municipal elections. Registration of candidates for those elections takes place between October 19 and 28. Ndolembai Njesada says 20 of the Chad’s 23 regions are under water due to heavy rainfall that has caused the loss of life and cattle.
