Sierra Leone’s Willietta Hughes works to eliminate discrimination in the country
Willietta Hughes is a key advocate of women's and children's rights. She is helping abolish discrimination and discriminatory practices against women and children in Sierra Leone. As a lawyer in the nation’s capital, Freetown, and a Waging Justice for Women Fellow within the Clooney Foundation for Justice, Hughes is actively involved in her community through a variety of legal representation and education platforms. VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke with Hughes live from Freetown.
