ECOWAS disappointed by failure to reconcile with junta-led nations
West Africa’s Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, on Sunday expressed disappointment in a lack of progress in reconciling with breakaway junta-led Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger — nations that exited the bloc in January 2024 after disagreements over a transition to civilian-led governance.
