Monday is Earth Day. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Planet Vs. Plastics.” Activists are calling for a 60 percent reduction in the production of plastics by 2040. The World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report 2024 says environmental issues make up half of the top 10 risks over the next 10 years.
