Senegal Court Overturns President’s Poll Delay Act
Senegal’s February 25 presidential election that was abruptly postponed by President Macky Sall and codified by parliament may be back on track. This, after the country’s Constitutional Council late Thursday ruled that the postponement violated Senegal’s constitution. The abrupt delay generated protests and international condemnation. Political analyst Ibrahima Kane, tells VOA James Butty, the Senegalese see the Constitutional Council ruling as a testament to the strength of their country’s democracy
