Nigeria Unions Cancel Planned Strike Over Living Costs
Nigeria's labor unions agreed to cancel a planned strike to protest rising living costs after the government offered a package of measures to alleviate the impact of its economic reforms. "We signed this agreement with the belief that every single item in this agreement are implementable," said Festus Osifo, president of the Nigerian Trade Union Congress.
