Zimbabwean Election ‘Fell Short' of International Standards
International poll observers said Friday that Zimbabwe's presidential and legislative elections failed to conform to "regional and international standards,” casting doubt on the credibility of a tense vote. The head of the European Union observer mission, Fabio Massimo Castaldo, said the election "fell short" on "key principles of equality universality, transparency and accountability.”
