Protests erupted in the Senegalese capital, Dakar, Thursday shortly after a court handed opposition leader and presidential aspirant Ousmane Sonko a prison sentence. Although the court acquitted Sonko of rape charges, he was convicted of "corrupting youth" and given two years in jail.
