World Food Program Restarts Operations in Sudan

The United Nations’ World Food Program (WFP) says it has resumed operations in parts of Sudan as humanitarian needs in continue to increase. WFP has temporarily halted efforts after three of is aid workers were killing in Darfur in the early days of the Sudan crisis. Officals say the clashes that prompted more than 100,000 refugees to flee to surrounding countries. For more, VOA’s Carol Van Dam spoke to Michael Dunford, WFP regional director for eastern Africa, on how the group is restructuring operations.
