Tensions Mount as Frustrations Hit Nigerian Voters
In Nigeria’s southern oil-hub of Port Harcourt, tensions are mounting as Saturday’s provisional election results show the ruling party's Bola Tinubu in the lead. . Security operatives have been deployed throughout the city and outside the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters for Rivers State. Some voters of the traditional opposition stronghold and supporters of outsider candidate Peter Obi of the Labor Party have expressed their frustrations, saying they feel that early results giving the All Progressives Congress' candidate the lead, do not reflect the will of the people.
