US Announces $55 Billion for Africa, Expected to Back G-20 Seat
The United States says it will commit $55 billion to Africa over the next three years as President Joe Biden hosts the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington. Biden is also expected to announce his support for the African Union to join the G-20. VOA's Hayde Adams spoke with Nathan Tek, deputy spokesperson of the U.S. State Department.
