The African Union is 20 years old this year since its founding in July 2002. Some have praised the organization but critics say the AU has done a poor job. VOA’s James Butty spoke with Adeoye Akinola, professor at the University of Johannesburg’s Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation.
