Covid-19 has exposed the challenges many journalists worldwide face in the line of duty, as government’s attempt to suppress information about the pandemic. A sad reality, 30-years after the Windhoek Declaration that led to World Press Freedom Day, which calls on governments to respect free, independent, and diverse media. We’ll also speak with veteran journalist, Shaka Ssali as he retires from VOA.
