In South Africa, top officials from the African National Congress met to explore options in forming a government, including a broad coalition. Cyber-experts warn that the United States and other countries holding elections this year have failed to set up guardrails to counter Russian disinformation campaigns using vastly improved artificial intelligence. Data analysis shows China transferred almost three times as many arms to sub-Saharan Africa in 2017 to 2020, than the United States did in terms of both quantity and quality.
