Voters in Mozambique go to the polls today to elect a new president. Daniel Francisco Chapo, the candidate for the governing party, Frelimo, is competing with three other contenders. The Islamic State-backed insurgency that is deepening grave humanitarian and economic problems for the country is a major election issue.
