Zambia urges SADC, AU to mediate rift with Zimbabwe
Zambia says it has called on two regional bodies — the African Union and Southern African Development Community — to mediate talks with neighboring Zimbabwe after its president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, appealed to Russia's Vladimir Putin for protection from what he described as militarily menacing, a description that Zambian officials reject.
