50 Zambian opposition parliamentarians Monday started organizing a demonstration to speak out against an upcoming two-day democracy summit co-hosted by the United States in Lusaka. The opposition lawmakers expressed displeasure with the March 29 summit, claiming that the Western participants are looking to use the platform to promote LGBTQ issues in Zambia, which they say undermines the values and cultural norms in the southern African nation.  For more, VOA’s Peter Clottey spoke to Brian Mundubile, a Zambian lawmaker.
