Zambia is the latest country to abolish the death penalty after President Hakainde Hichilema kept a campaign promise to end it by signing a measure into law last month. In an interview with VOA's Peter Clottey via Skype, Justice Minister Mulambo Haimbe said the move is in keeping with the country's constitution which guarantees everyone to a right to life.
