West Africa regional partners key to fighting terror threats, says AFRICOM head
Since the United States completed its military withdrawal from Niger last month, the head of U.S. Africa Command says the U.S. is resetting in West Africa to try to help local partners fight growing terror threat in the region. In an exclusive interview with VOA’s Pentagon Correspondent, Carla Babb, General Michael Langley, the commander of AFRICOM, shared his concerns and hopes for an African-led fight against Islamic terrorism in the Sahel.
