Tanzanian Women Say Harris, Hassan Meeting, Inspirational
Tanzanian women are describing the meeting of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and President Samia Suluhu Hassan as historic, as both women represent the first females to hold such powerful positions in their countries. Tanzania is Harris' second stop on a three-nation tour of the continent, which started in Ghana and ends in Zambia. VOA's Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to Christinah Korroso, senior journalist at Azam TV, in Tanzania who said Harris' visit by Harris is both historic and inspirational for young women.
