Speaking to VOA’s Vincent Makori, United States House of Representatives member Dan Kildee says the United States must take a more direct approach in helping to solve many of Africa’s long-standing conflicts, including in Sudan. Kildee has also remained a proponent of reauthorizing the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA.) The legislation significantly enhances market access of qualifying Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries to the US for sustainable economic growth and the advancement of democratic principles.
