US Invests in Africa’s Fintech
U.S. officials Wednesday reaffirmed Washington’s commitments toward partnering with Africa to witness development, especially in the financial technology sector – the continent’s fastest growing industry. VOA’s Mike Hove was in attendance of the 2023 Africa Fintech Summit, which witnessed representation from over 50 nations, many of them from the continent. He spoke to Ramin Toloui, the assistant secretary for the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, who addressed several issues pertaining to US investments in Africa.
