US envoy urges support for Sudanese humanitarian efforts amid violence [5:31]

The U.S. Special Envoy for Sudan, Ambassador Tom Perriello, is urging the international community and U.S. allies to support Sudanese humanitarian efforts. He highlights the critical work of Emergency Response Rooms, established by local groups at the onset of the conflict and now struggling due to lack of support. Perriello calls on the rival Sudan Armed Forces and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces to cease hostilities and allow access for local and international aid groups. He spoke with VOA’s John Tanza.
