UNICEF: 2024 one of worst years ever for kids in conflict
2024 was one of the worst years ever for children in conflict zones according to UNICEF. More children than ever are estimated to be living in conflict zones or forcibly displaced due to conflict and violence; several are in Africa, including Sudan, where children’s rights were violated over and over. UNICEF spokesperson Joseph English tells VOA's Carol Van Dam that world leaders must realize over 32,900 grave violations committed against children is not okay and must stop in 2025.
