UN Security Council Convenes to Discuss Violence in DRC
The United Nations Security Council convened to discuss the ongoing violence in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, as clashes between the army and the M23 rebel group have displaced hundreds of thousands and disrupted food supplies to the provincial capital, Goma. For the latest developments coming out of the United Nations, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA United Nations correspondent Margaret Besheer.
