UN Secretary-General Condemns Gabon's Military
United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric Wednesday said United Nation’s Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned Gabon’s military officials for removing President Ali Bongo Ondimba from power and called on all in the Central African nation to “exercise restraint,” while engaging in “an inclusive and meaningful dialogue.” Gabonese military officials announced early Wednesday they seized power in the Central African nation detaining Bongo, his wife, song and other officials.
