UN: Millions of children lack access to basic education
Over 250 million children and youth lack safe space to learn because of challenges like conflict and disaster. According to the United Nations, the basic human right to education has been robbed of millions of children across the globe. As the world marks the International Day to Protect Education from Attack Monday, a UN report says that in 2023 alone, more than 5,000 children were killed by conflict. Maureen Ojiambo reports.
