Bobi Wine, one of Uganda’s most prominent opposition figures to President Yoweri Museveni, was reported to have been shot in the leg by police while at a political march Tuesday in a northern suburb of Kampala. Ugandan authorities maintain that they were attempting to block Wine and members of his National Unity Platform from entering a road but said in a statement on X that an investigation will be opened.
