Trial of Former Guinea President Camara Continues
Guinea's former President Moussa Dadis Camara and 10 other former military and government officials are on trial over a 2009 massacre at an opposition rally in Conakry in which 156 people were killed and at least 109 women were raped. Camara, who has denied responsibility for the crimes, is charged with "personal criminal responsibility and command responsibility." Elise Keppler, associate director of the International Justice Program at Human Rights Watch, explains the significance of this case in an interview with VOA's Vincent Makori.
