Sudanese Stage Peace Rally at White House [3:05]
As Sudan's conflict entered its third week over the weekend, hundreds of Sudanese Americans gathered in front of the White House in Washington D.C. to protest ongoing fighting back in Sudan. Protesters who came from different states across the U.S. chanted and held up placards and banners that said “No to War, Yes to Peace.” They also called on President Joe Biden and other world leaders to intervene to stop the fighting in Sudan and punish perpetrators of violence against civilians. VOA’s Nabeel Biajo was at the protest and spoke with Mahasin Mohamed Ahmed, one of the organizers.
