Timing of Israel-Sudan Normalization Talk Suspicious: Analyst [3:48]
Protesters on the streets of the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Monday denounced last week's visit by the Israeli foreign minister, Eli Cohen, to Sudan and his meeting with Sudan’s military ruler Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan. The two reportedly discussed plans to sign a peace agreement that would officially end Sudan’s policy of the "Three Nos" — no peace, negotiations or recognition regarding Israel — dating back to a 1967 Arab League summit in Khartoum after Israel took control of Jerusalem and the West Bank. For analysis, VOA’s Nabeel Biajo spoke with Cameron Hudson, senior associate of the Africa Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, who says the timing of the visit is suspicious on the part of Israel.
