South Sudan’s government is concerned about fighting in Sudan but remains neutral to the situation—the country's acting foreign affairs minister told VOA. Deng Dau Deng says his government stands with the people of Sudan and is committed as a guarantor of Sudan’s peace agreement and member of the regional body IGAD to work with all parties in Sudan to restore peace and stability in the country—absence of which directly harms South Sudan and the region.
