Violence and Human Rights Violation Rife in SSudan, Says UN Report

The UN Human Rights Council has renewed the mandate of the Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan, following the release of its reporting alleging unabated violence and human rights violations, with little or no accountability. Barney Afako is a United Nations Human Rights Commissioner for South Sudan. He tells VOA’s Nabeel Biajo the South Sudan government must end impunity for rights abuses that include attacks on civilians and extrajudicial killings -- and hold perpetrators accountable.
