SSudan's SPLM to Hold More Election Rallies Ahead of National Convention [3:24]

The Secretary-General of South Sudan's Sudan People's Liberation Movement party, Peter Lam Both, has shed light on President Salva Kiir's endorsement during Tuesday's rally in Wau. According to Both, this endorsement is only a show of support for President Kiir's nomination to run in the upcoming December 2024 election. In the coming months, similar rallies are set to take place in the regions of Upper Nile and Equatoria. He tells VOA's Nabeel Biajo, after the primaries an SPLM national convention will be held to officially elect a chairman to be the party's flag bearer and presidential nominee.
