South Africa on the cusp of National Unity Government
Following his election by parliament for a second term on Friday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to be inaugurated this Wednesday. The president is also expected to announce members of the Government of National Unity (GNU) comprising the African National Congress (ANC), the Democratic Alliance (DA), and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP). ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula briefed the media over the weekend and said all parties to the GNU agreed to uphold certain principles, including respect for the constitution and the rule of law
