South Africa labor union accuses police of ‘state sponsored massacre’ at Stilfontein mine
The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa (GIWUSA), a South African labor union, has accused the nation’s police service (SAPS) of “state sponsored massacres” following an operation to weed out illegal miners in Stilfontein, resulting in the death of at least 78 people.
