Sierra Leone’s anti-corruption chief denies rigging Bar Association’s vote
Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission Chief, Francis Ben Kaifala, is denying allegations he hijacked the weekend leadership election of the Sierra Leone Bar Association in favor of a candidate friendly to the government. Losing candidate Wara Serry-Kamal says the election was stolen with the help of Kaifala who presided over the process. Kaifala tells VOA’s James Butty, as a 17-year member of the Association, he had every right to supervise the vote. He says even though the process experienced some challenges, it was free and fair
